Secret Ingredient
Paul must have had a grandma
How else could he have found
Her best secret recipe
The ingredient sent by God
You see, a grandma has been through a lot
And there is something she must take;
She's been married to grandpa for fifty years
And raised seven children with few mistakes.
She must have took something
To handle it all ;
For she is always meek and never prideful,
And a lot of patience is what kids call for.
She could not have been easily provoked.
She needed endurance
And long-suffering
To be able to bear all things.
Grandmas usually come in twos
So all envy must be put aside.
She has so share with the other
Even if she doesn't like to.
A grandma's heart
Is always with you
And in you she believes
And hopes for the best.
She gets mad when she is lied to
She would much rather hear the truth;
And although she tends to spoil you
She also tries to guide.
So you see I know Paul had a grandma
Because he found her secret recipe.
He wrote it all down
In his letter to the Corinthians.
A recipe so special
Only God could give it out
The one thing she used in every thing
Love
Dedicated to every grandmother who has ever loved
a child.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
Love
sufferth long, and is kind; love envieth not;
love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemingly, seeketh not
her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no
evil;
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the
truth;
Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth
all things, endureth all things.
Love never faileth: |
