This poem was inspired by a sermon preached by, once again, Bro. Steven Strooh at my church in January of 2001. In this sermon he explained Why Four Gosples and showed God's pattern of four throughout scripture. This sermon started the six page Ramblings of an Amateur. This poem was supposed to be a shorter and simpler poem, however it didn't turn out that way.

The Ramblings of an Amatuer

Part 2: My Letter to the Blind

sphinx The stars
The stone
Paper and Ink
A Bride

A woman's head
A lion's body
It's written in the stars
She holds the secret of how to read it.

Start with Virgo,
(A woman, her head)
End with Leo,
(A lion, her body)

marriage The stone
It awaits its Capstone
As a bride
Awaits her Bridegroom

book The paper and ink
Made it seen by all,
Yet it is not seen
The people have hidden their eyes.

The people are blind
Blinded by Satan's minions.
Blind to lies and to sin.
Blind to the truth.

My friends
My loved ones
Still blind to all
Open your eyes and see.

The beast rising from the waters,
Rising in the Roman horizon.
Wishing to destroy Jerusalem
Wishing to destroy a Bride

The beast is sending his image
Sending it west for all to worship
Open your eyes
Can you see it coming?

Can you see it?
See its twisted
Perverted
And ugly form.

Twisting the Word
Perverting the Word
God's Word
God's Spoken Word

The end has come
The dead in Christ have risen.
I can see my great-grandmother
Her long hair flowing beautifully.

Mom
Dad
See this body of sickness and death
See it change to its predestinated form.

Do you see?
Can you see Him now,
There in the sky?
I can.

I'm going home.
Going home to my Lord.
So long I've waited,
Home.

No sorrow
No fear
I will join Christ
In our wedding feast

The Millennium?
Maybe I will see you there?
Maybe you will survive,
Three and a half years of wars and plagues.

Will you accept his mark?
It's not a tatoo or a microchip.
It's not the numbers 666.
These are all signs that everyone is watching for.

Acceptance
Means eternal damnation
Eternal seperation
From God and all His attributes.

Refusal means physical death.
Means homelessness
Means starvation
Means the cries of children

Their stomachs in pain
Swollen, bloated, empty
They sleep on beds of stone
If they sleep at all.

They are naked
They are cold
And you?
You will join them in their misery.

Yet you would risk all of this,
For your right:
To call the truth
A lie,

To call His Bride
A cult,
To call them crazy,
To call their beliefs ridiculous.

These human rights.
A humanity that will soon pass away.
A life that is so short
On the clock of eternity.

Why is it so hard to just believe?

Grandma,
There is an absolute truth.
Once you knew this.
Once you lived this.

Once you taught this to your chldren
To your grandchildren
That is why we are here
Paul, Nathan and I

How did it come to this?
What happened,
In a hundred years?
What happened in fifty?

Open your eyes and see
Open your eyes and remember
Remember holiness
Remember trruth.

Remember how to open your eyes.
The ones to your heart.
The ones to your soul.
You know this is right.

Dear little one
Once so sweet
Once so innocent
So fair

You once followed me
Like a lost puppy.
I opened a door for you
To an evil world.

You walked right through
So trusting.
To you I was God
But I was lost.

Do I still have any influence,
Or do you too believe me to be mad?
Run dear child!
Run from this world!

From rock music
From rebellion
From Hollywood
From Babylon.

Run before it kills you
As it almost killed me.
Run back through that door
The one that leads back to truth.

eagle2 Back to love
Back to God
If my words have ever meant anything to you
Let these ring loud and clear

Open your eyes
See the evil that's around you!
Hear the eagle scream,
"Come out!"

mask2 Thessalonians 2:3

Let no man decieve you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,
