I Will Not Look Back

I will not look back
At my past life.

I will not look back
And wish that I had not thrown something out.

I will not look back
And wish to watch t.v. and listen to secular music.

I will not look back
And wish to go back to my own world.
To my escape from reality.

I will not look back
And wish that I was that old person.
The one with depression,
Who did not know how to get rid of it.

I will not look back
And lay blame.

I will not look back
And hate for past wrongs,
And wonder why those who claimed to love me Hurt me.

I will not look back
At my old life,
Instead I will only look forward.

I will look forward
To a life of where God handles all my cares. I will look forward
At how God is blessing me daily.

I will look forward
To the new birth.

I will look forward
To hearing the Word and to truth.

I will look forward
To my new life in Jesus Christ my Lord.
